JOB SUMMARY:  Manages, trains and schedules staff assigned to Concierge desks, including the driver for medical and other resident transportation.  Responsible for hiring, performance reviews and coaching of assigned staff. Establishes and leads staff in best practices to ensure residents live fully, live well at Villa St. Benedict.  Works closely with the Director of Resident Services to develop the annual operating plan and budget.  May assist with administrative support for special requests or projects. This position is also a working Concierge, welcoming and providing assistance to residents, family members and guests of Villa St. Benedict. Attention to and perpetuation of the core values and mission of Villa St. Benedict are essential.

 

 

  1. TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
  • College preferred with previous experience in a position with a high level of customer service responsibilities. Previous work experience as a supervisor/manager.  
  • In depth experience in Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet research

 

  1. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS:
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of managing others through effective teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Provides excellent customer service through compassion, patience and understanding of seniors.
  • Deals with interruptions without demonstrating undue frustration.
  • Calmly and capably responds to emergencies.
  • Familiar with communities in a ten-mile radius. Stays current on events in the area.
  • Approachable and hospitable demeanor.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information and conversations.
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job

 

 

JOB RELATIONS:

  1. Responsible to: Director, Resident & Family Services
  2. Workers Supervised:       Concierge staff, Drivers
  3. Inter-Relationships:         VSB residents, visitors, health care providers using clinic space and staff on Campus.

 

Overview

The Office Manager is responsible for the management and budget of the administrative and clerical department at the community. 

Responsibilities

Performs clerical and minor executive duties, such as preparing correspondence, memos, and reports. Manages recruitment and performance of direct reports. Provides community support and maintenance for various office equipment. Coordinates meetings; records meeting minutes and maintains attendance records.

Qualifications Required

  • Familiar with rules of spelling, grammar and punctuation, organization of the health care community and general functions of all departments.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Associate’s degree in business-related field.
  • Previous experience in an administrative-level support position.
