We have an awesome summer Internship opportunity for a student who is looking to expand their knowledge and expertise in the Health Care Field! This role will expose the intern to multiple areas and functions of a Long Term Care facility such as direct patient care, wellness activities, and associate education compliance. 

 

This opportunity is open to:

Secondary students who:
• intend to complete high school graduation requirements.
• are between the junior and senior year of high school.
• are from a school district in proximity to the facility.
AND
Post-secondary students who:
• intend to complete a two-year or four-year degree program and are planning on enrolling in or are enrolled in that degree program.
• are enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or are a resident of the state of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • The Resident Assistant (RA) supports residents with daily living activities and helps maintain their personal environment.
  • The Resident Assistant (RA) provides observation and documentation.
  • The Resident Assistant (RA) assists with onboarding of new Associates.

Qualifications

  • Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English
