Overview

The Foundation Development Coordinator is responsible to raise funds to meet the organization’s financial goals through a variety of fundraising channels.

Responsibilities

  • Secures adequate donations to meet annual philanthropy goals with cost-to-raise-a-dollar in line with industry standards.
  • Works with Community Executive Director on determining community needs and fundraising priorities.
  • Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major gift donors. Maintains a portfolio of prospective major gift donors. Tracks communication and progress in the foundation database.
  • Coordinates all gift activity ensuring timely donation deposits and donor stewardship.
  • Coordinates fund distributions and philanthropy expenditures.
  • Works independently with organizational skills to prioritize tasks and to exercise judgment consistent with core values.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • High School diploma
  • One (1) year of experience in fundraising/development, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet applications

Qualifications Preferred

  • Actively involved in degree or continuing educations
  • Donor/gift/constituent database experience
  • Experience in working with volunteers
  • Experience in fundraising
