Overview

Provides leadership, training and coaching to indirect, community reports as assigned to ensure front-end processes are accurately and timely updated while meeting compliance with Federal and State regulations, resulting in a solid accounts receivable process that minimizes bad debt and provides positive cash flow to Communities and Benedictine.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and training to Business Office associates utilizing the Benedictine Task Lists addressing concerns and resolving problems to assure Benedictine policies, State and Federal regulations and any other third-party regulations and requirements are followed.
  • Collaborates with Director, RCM and A/R & Billing Supervisors to identify critical success factors characteristic of a high-functioning RCM process.
  • Oversees the development and documentation of procedures and processes, as well as the creation of required educational tools to spread critical knowledge to the Community in the revenue cycle process.
  • Oversees the maintenance of MatrixCare, ePremis, Ability, and other billing systems and tools to ensure updates are coordinated and the systems are used appropriately.
  • Participates in workgroups and projects focused on A/R processes and improvement opportunities, payer contracts implementation, and community sales, acquisitions, and new and closing buildings.
  • Ensures Business Office associates are performing month-end accounts receivable procedures timely and accurately according to Benedictine checklists and standards.
  • Provides leadership, direction and training to the Business Office and to ensure Benedictine expectations are met.
  • Complies with all related laws and regulations pertaining to this position and for fulfilling the obligations under the Benedictine Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Four (4) or more years of medical billing systems experience
  • Experience in training and process improvement
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory training or applicable leadership experience

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in the skilled nursing industry
