Overview

The Internal Float Pool Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Internal Float Pool scheduling needs are met by effectively managing the internal float pool function. This role oversees daily Internal Float Pool scheduling operations as well as supports and mentors’ community staffing coordinators. The Internal Float Pool Manager also assists with onboarding of new community Staffing Coordinators, supporting Benedictine Community staffing block schedules and levels, and ensuring consistency on Benedictine standards and operations of staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate Staffing Department and Community Staffing Coordinators to deliver on results and align scheduling efforts with Benedictine care objectives.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to staffing efficiency, IFP utilization and scheduling metrics and best practices.
  • Review Internal Float Pool associate’s availability and develop, manage, and adjust IFP Employee schedules to ensure shifts are filled and community needs are met.
  • Monitor real-time scheduling changes, call offs, and emergencies, proving quick and effective solutions to staffing needs. Ensure timely communication of Staffing Department and adequate community support.
  • Serve as the primary support resource for the community staffing coordinators, providing guidance, troubleshooting assistance and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Benedictine standards of behavior, conduct, customer service, and professional ethics.
  • Manage Internal Float pool employees and be the primary HR resources on all HR tasks and items within Internal Float Pool.
  • Design and help implement retention strategies and/or programs to retain newly hired internal float pool associates. Review Align Survey results and research appropriate incentives and implement strategies for employee engagement. Assess associate performance and identify training and development opportunities to enhance skills and abilities.
  • Provide a variety of administrative duties including: processing payroll, pulling operational reports, maintain HR accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Associate’s Degree in business, management of human resources management, or closely related discipline
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in staff scheduling
  • Experience using Scheduling software
  • Detail-oriented
