Overview

The position is responsible for maintaining cash management records for use by the Finance Department for appropriate distribution of monies as well as monitoring and maintaining the organization’s credit card program.  This role supervises the A/R Posting and Reconciliations position ensuring seamless communication between the cash management function and the cash posting function.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the selection of team associates, providing training, work direction and fostering teamwork, performance appraisals, addressing concerns and collaborates in resolving problems to assure Benedictine policy, State and Federal regulations and any other third party regulations and requirements are followed.
  • Processes private pay and third-party payments and ensures deductibles and copays are appropriately reflected on resident

    accounts. Ensures electronic remits are distributed accurately.

  • Performs daily cash management functions for 40+ banks to provide continuous support to the finance department and customers.
  • Administrative oversight of banking relationships.
  • Acts as the program administrator for the organization’s credit card program through Elan and Emburse.
  • Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
  • Performs other duties, tasks, and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Automatic Clearing House (ACH)/ Electronic Funds Transfer (Wire) experience
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience
  • Three (3) years of accounts receivable and cash posting experience in a health care environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

  • Associate’s Degree in accounting
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of accounting experience
