Overview

The Foundation Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the strategic planning for fund development and community relations to meet annual philanthropy goals. 

Responsibilities

Sets goals for and achieves strategic fund development and communication objectives. Develops, prioritizes, and implements strategies to research and solicit grants and major gifts for special projects and capital needs.  Maintains current prospect/donor/gift database and coordinates all gifts, grants, contributions, fund distributions, and philanthropy expenditures with foundation team members.  Coordinates and develops the three to five year philanthropic strategic plan with community volunteers and the leadership team.  Plans and conducts annual appeal(s) and employee gift program.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma.
  • One (1) year of experience in fundraising/development, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet applications.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Actively involved in degree or continuing educations.
  • Donor/gift/constituent database experience.
  • Graphic design training.
  • Experience in the coordination and support of volunteer leaders.
  • Experience in fundraising.
