The Float Director of Nursing (DON) functions in the full capacity of a community clinical leader and is responsible for leading, delegating, planning, organizing, staffing, directing, analyzing and evaluating the nursing services of an assigned skilled nursing facilities. The Float DON is responsible for supervising assigned nursing and ancillary departments to ensure services that meet practice and quality standards. Coordinates and executes all transportation needs for residents/tenants as provided under community policy. Responsible for assuring community vehicles are routinely maintained and comply with State and Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Expected to maintain a safe driving record that meets Benedictine requirements at all times.
